Warranty Policy

Home Products Services News Parent Company

It is the policy of Continental Imports to replace or issue credit for any items, with the exception of wall clocks, found to be defective within one year from the retail sale date of unit. Claims for items determined to be damaged due to customer abuse, improper installation, or failure to package returned merchandise properly will be disallowed.

Continental Imports is responsible for determining if it is necessary to return the defective material or to simply scrap the goods at the customer’s end. Items approved for return must indicate:

    1. A Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number on the outside of the carton. To obtain an RGA number, fax a pick list or shipper invoice to the attention of Warranty Coordinator at Continental Imports (Fax 951-369-5850).
    2. Paperwork and part matched to indicate:
      Continental Import part number
      Quantity of each item
      Brief description of problem encountered
Date the retail unit was sold and serviced

Items that possibly require return of product to Continental Imports:

Head lights, tail lights, & turn signals

Wheel covers & simulators (units sent back "because of "rust" will be rejected if the rust was not caused by base material)

Lighting items deformed from heat (bulb must be included)

Gas struts

Plumbing components (shower head assemblies, strainers, boiler drains, etc)

Faucets

Stainless steel sinks

Power Converters (see converter section below for special details)

Door Knobs

Wheels

It is highly recommended that any warranty claims be placed on a monthly basis. It will be necessary to accumulate any defective material during this quarter and to obtain proper disposition instructions (RGA#) to receive any applicable reimbursement.

Power Converter Special Details

Converters must be sent back in original egg-crate packaging, when at all possible, to protect against shipping damage.  Converter sizes can be mixed in the carton and carton labeling does not need to reflect what product is inside.  If egg-crate packaging is not available, the converter must be sent in a sufficiently protective carton to prevent damage.  Each converter must be tagged to identify the part number, claim number, converter serial number, and problem.  A sample tag is available, if needed, at the following link: converter tag.  This tag does not need to be used as long as the tag being used can include the necessary information.  Converter claims will be rejected for the following reasons:

missing components (i.e. fuses, terminal set screws, terminal cover, and cut cords)
physical abuse (i.e. gouges, bent housing, and bent fan covers)
product defaced (i.e. applying tape or marking on unit)
stripped terminal screws
